The Pilatus Turbo Porter plane created by Jack Hix

Jack says this plane flies great in calm conditions, and can loop after a little dive.  Most of this plane is made of Styrofoam take-out food trays from a local restaurant.  The top and bottom of the fuse is 1 mm depron.  The struts and landing gear shocks are made from plastic coffee stirrers from the local bank's coffee cart.  The landing gear wire flexes enough to make the shocks telescope realistically.  The tail wheel is connected to the external rudder horn with tiny monofilament for steering.   The plane wingspan is 13", weighs 20 grams, and has a static thrush of 8.7 g.

The Turbo Porter has a Plantraco Micro 9 receiver, Tri-Turbofan prop, Plantraco MiniAct Actuators, 7 mm 3.3 Ohm pager motor, and a Bahoma 90 mAh LiPo cell.  Jack uses his Hitec TX with a HXF900 Monolith converter to fly this plane.

Very nice looking plane Jack.
